NGO

Red Acoge

It is a NGO federation founded in February 1991 with the aim of promoting immigrant people’s rights in Spain. Currently, it consists of 18 local and regional organizations situated in different points of the state territory. It is founded on the combination of both paid and unpaid work, and at present has more than 1,000 volunteers.

Red Acoge was declared of Public Utility on February 18th, 2010.

The operating principles on which the federation is divided are :

  • Welcome
  • Networking
  • Consideration of immigrants as subjects with equal rights.

Red Acoge’s accounts are audited annually. This information is deposited at the corresponding registers according to law. Additionally, the NGO periodically gives account regarding all its social action and its expenses at members’ meetings. All information on this respect is available on the web www.redacoge.org
